Happy Tuesday?!?!

Hello Ladies! I totally agree with Sara….I LOVE 3-day weekends, but man does it make it hard to come back to work! I wish every weekend was at least 3 days long! I had such a great weekend and did a lot….I know you are dying for me to recap it for you, so here goes:

Friday night…it was my turn to have a Girls’ Night Out because Scott had been away from home two nights last week. So, he told me to go do something with Kelli…so I took him up on it! Isn’t he a great Hubby? So, Kelli couldn’t meet until 8:00, so I went shopping at the Greene for a bit first and then went and picked her up. We went to dinner at Mama DiSalvos – a yummy local Italian eatery. It was very yummy. We both tried something new that we had never had before and it was very good. Then we went to the Greene to do a tad more shopping and then to a movie. We saw Fracture. It was pretty good. The boy in it is very cute….he was in the Notebook. Then I dropped her off at home and came home and crashed. I am not usually up that late!!!

So, Saturday morning….we all got up slowly (well, the kids are up at like 6:30 or 7:00, but Scott and I take turns dozing for a while) and Scott went to work for a while and I cleaned house. Then he came home and we all went up to the Greene. They were having a “Puppet Extravaganza” and they had tents set up in the courtyard where the kids made puppets, got their face-painted, got free balloons, saw magic tricks and puppet shows. It was fun for them. Then we got ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery….YUM! Then we came home and all took naps! Scott got up and went to PT practice. I got the kids up from their naps and gave them all showers/baths and then when Scott got home, we headed out again! We got dinner at Arby’s and then went to Downtown Dayton for the fireworks show! The music was horrible, but we had a great time! We put down blankets in a grassy lawn area and the boys went and got us funnel cakes and we had a great time watching the laser and fireworks show. Faith Anne wasn’t even scared…and Gracie loved it! It rained a bit, but there was a big tree in the lawn we were at, so we just sat under it until the rain passed. It was an enjoyable day!!!!

On Sunday, Scott had to sing in both services, so I got the kids up and ready for church and we headed off. There was only one person in the nursery, so I couldn’t leave her to go to class. So, I stayed with the kiddos for Sunday School, but I did get to go to worship. The music was WAY TOO LOUD….but good worship. And I am not a complainer…so, if I say that….there was a problem! LOL Oh well….it was still a great service. Beef preached and he did a great job. It isn’t all about me! Anyways, so after church we came home and changed clothes and then headed out to Scott’s Aunt and Uncle’s house for a graduation party. That was fun because we don’t get to see his family a lot. Isaac loves to run and play with his older cousins…and they all make over the girls as if they are the cutest things ever! We stayed there until early evening and then came home and took naps (that is what I LOVE MOST about weekends!!!!). We woke up and Scott decided to grill out…YUM. Then we just tinkered around the house. Oh, I think I watched Lake House. Sister didn’t like it…but I thought it was pretty good. It was definitely slow in parts, but cute story. I think I just like Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves so much, that is why it probably didn’t bother me as much. But anyways, that was Sunday!

Then Monday, we got up slowly again….and then Scott took Gracie to MIL’s house. She OFFERED to watch Gracie for us…I didn’t even have to ask her! She OFFERED to watch her while the rest of us went to the Red’s Game! My boss gave me tickets, so we had great seats. We had a really good time. The seats in front of us are also our company’s, so we had a good time with the family in front of us too. They caught a ball that was fouled off…more like CAUGHT it in her arm….but it was fun. Faith Anne did really good and didn’t get squirmy at all. It helped that I brought some things for her to do and it was a quick game. And Isaac loves that stuff. We bought them some accessories for their Build-A-Bear animals. Faith Anne got a purse (OF COURSE) for her bear and a pink glove, ball and bat. Isaac got a catcher’s outfit for his….it is ADORABLE. So, we had a good time there. On our way home we had decided to stop at Applebee’s for dinner, but when we called to make sure that was okay with Laura, she told us to come on to her house because she had cooked out a bunch of food for her boyfriend’s son and girlfriend. I would’ve rather gone to Applebee’s, but WHATEVER. We decided to go there, to her house. Rob – her boyfriend – was actually very nice to us. I guess he was trying to put on a show in front of his son. It was just weird…..but anyways. Scott’s dad also called and invited us over to his house, kind of. So, we ate at Laura’s and then went to Steve’s. Not a good way to end the day for me….but it is Scott’s family so I sucked it up! His dad and Patty (his wife) waited until Scott wasn’t in the room and basically accused me of not giving them pictures of our kids….like I did it intentionally. They were mean about it. I didn’t think of it until this morning…but the reason they don’t have a recent picture of Gracie is that we haven’t seen them since Christmas! So, whatever. They asked Scott about it when we were leaving and he blamed it on me too…..but he apologized later. I really don’t care. They don’t like me…I don’t like them….the less we see of them, the better!!! Bad attitude, I know. But that is how I feel. Why lie about it?

So, the weekend didn’t end as good as it started….but was still good!!! Oh, I didn’t tell you that at Isaac’s t-ball game last Thursday, Kelli’s son Logan was batting behind Isaac and his first at-bat, he hit it in the grass. In t-ball, the rule is you only run one base at a time, unless it goes in the grass. – then you can run as much as you want. Well, Isaac didn’t know that and Logan about passed him up…not good. So, the next at-bat, Logan hit it a ton and this time Isaac ran and ran all the way home…and fast! Logan got a home-run! Isaac was so excited for his friend!!! It was very neat…he is doing so good!!!!

Well, I better get back to work! You all have a great week – a short one – YAHOO! Love you all….and praying that Josy gets all moved in and settled!!!!

THRILLED that it is FRIDAY!!!!!

Good Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY! Can you tell I am happy that it is Friday!??! This has been a long and stressful week at work, hence why I haven’t been able to post until now!

Before I get into my update….Please pray for my friend Hope. This is the girl that I work with that has no relationship with God…in fact, I am not 100% convinced that she even really believes in God. Anyways, she just found out yesterday that her husband has been cheating on her with 3 other women. She kicked him out last night, but this is not going to be an easy road for her. Please pray for her. I can’t imagine going through something like that….especially without knowing to lean on God for strength. Thanks….

Well, things are going well at our house! The kids are doing well, Scott is doing well and I am doing well! LOL We are always on the go, it feels like. But that is getting better since Isaac has his last soccer game on Saturday and we don’t have Wednesday night church for the summer.

So, let me start with Isaac. He has had a few rough days at school. He got in big trouble on Monday because he had 3 days in a row where he was not “in the green” at school. On Monday, he brought home a letter because he was in the BLUE! It goes, green…yellow….blue….and then red. So, we were NOT happy about that. His punishment was that he couldn’t play with the neighbor boy and he couldn’t go to Daddy’s softball game. Well, you would’ve thought that I cut off his right arm. But we stuck to it! What got him in trouble was he put his hands around his friends neck to get them to listen to him….NICE! And then he was pushing his classmates to get to the front of the line. So, on Thursday, I picked him up from school and his PM teacher pulled me aside and told me how much he loves having Isaac in her class and what a joy he is. She said that he reminds her of her son because he is so much bigger than his classmates. She tried to explain to him that when he pushes or hits, it is a lot harder and could hurt a lot more than one of the other kids….so it isn’t like he is a bully or anything. He is just doing what the other kids are doing, but because of his size it makes a bigger difference! That made me feel better! She is such a good teacher. I still cannot believe that my baby is reading, writing, doing math….it just amazes me! He is excited about going on to first grade next year! He only has 2 more weeks of school! I think he will miss going every day…..but that will change as he gets older!

He is doing GREAT in T-ball and did great in soccer! I am so proud of him because he hustles just as much as everyone else and he really gets into it. His t-ball coach is really amazing….his profession is that he coaches football for a local college. So, he takes that energy – but on a positive side – to the t-ball boys and it is just so much fun to watch!

Faith Anne…yeah, she is STILL NOT potty trained. My mom is working with her when she has her…my Aunt is working with her when she has her….we are never home in the evenings to work with her….but the bottom line is, she knows how to do it, but just chooses NOT to! So, needless to say, we are a bit frustrated with her! I did tell her the other night that she wouldn’t be moving up to the Preschool class at church until she was potty trained and that really upset her because she wants to be with her friends. So, we will see!!! She wants to have a Princess Tea Party for her birthday this year. So, I need to figure that out! I really want to try not to have such a big party like we always do, but I just don’t know how to NOT invite everyone!!! LOL Anyways, she is so stinking cute! However, she has been getting up at the crack of dawn every morning….and it is getting annoying! I am getting ready for work at 5:30 or 6:00 and she keeps getting up! I don’t know what the deal is! Isaac gets up too! I hope they outgrow this because it is CRAZY! And Scott is not a morning person, so I feel bad for him!!!

Gracie is doing great! She is so chubby but just so stinking adorable! She still spits up all the time – and that is annoying, but she is doing well eating baby food. We occasionally feed her some table food that is mushy and she does really well with it. She has her two bottom teeth in and is working on one of the side bottom teeth. That is odd. It feels like she is going to get that in before her top front teeth. Anyways, she is doing great. She still wakes up to eat once “in the middle of the night”….really at like 4:00 or so. But that is not bad because she goes to bed at like 8:00. So, if we could just get her to stay awake longer, it would be better. But she is just so tired in the evening. She is sitting up, but does not like to be on her belly! She can roll over, but honestly, she hates to be on her belly so she doesn’t do it very often! Who knows when she will crawl…but I am not rushing that. She can stay stationary for as long as she wants to!!! Funny how we want our first to do all that…..and even our 2nd. But this time, she can take as long as she wants to!!! Her hair is long enough to put in pigtails or a pony-tail, but she pulls at it and I don’t want her to pull the rubber band out and choke on it. But she is so cute!!!!

Scott is doing fine at his job still. We really enjoy the flexibility of it. He is able to get most of the shopping, laundry, yard-work, etc done during the morning before he goes to work. I know, I am spoiled! He is such a wonderful husband and father. I told him last night that after being with Hope and hearing her wonder about her husband cheating on her….it just made me realize again how lucky I am to have such a great husband. Now, that isn’t to say that we don’t argue, because we do. But he does so much for me and the kids.

Well, things at work have been interesting. Last week, I had a meltdown. Stinky Pete did something that really made me mad…and honestly, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back because there had been other things recently that really made me mad. So, last week, rather than going into all the details, I can sum it up by saying that he basically made me look like the “bad parent” with one of his employees. He should’ve backed me up and he didn’t. So, I was so mad at him that I actually came very close to either quitting the bank all together, or leaving this job and going out to the branches as an Assistant Manager. I spent all of last weekend in prayer about it and working out the details of how my schedule would change with my Aunt, my parents and Scott. I came into work on Monday and was either going to tell him that I quit or tell him off. I chose to tell him off. So, I went into his office (Hope says that I stormed in), shut the door and gave him a piece of my mind. He was very surprised when I told him that I was ready to quit, but then decided that I wasn’t going to let him run me out of a job that I love. I told him that I hope to be here (in this position)longer than him and I am going to stick it out, but he needs to know how he made me feel. It was a very good discussion. Do I think he will change? NO….but at least he knows how I was feeling and at least I scared him. It would NOT look good for him if I left and he knows that. So, that is what is going on at work!

Well, I am glad that all my shows are over! LOL I LOVED seeing Melinda sing with the Winans on the AI finale. How cool is that? The song was awesome and the message was even more awesome. I wish Blake would’ve won…but Jordin can wail! She just got on my nerves at the end. Not every song has to have a long screaming note, just because you can.

I wish that Joey would’ve won DWTS, but Apolo was really the better dancer. Joey was the better entertainer.

I wish that Yau-man would’ve won Survivor…but Alex was good too.

So, that is about it for today! I hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend! I am looking forward to a 3-day weekend! We don’t have a lot planned – for a change – so that is nice! We have a graduation party on Sunday and then we are going to a Reds game on Monday….so hopefully the weather is nice!

Love you all and praying for you each and every day!!!!

A Great Weekend...

Hello Chicas! I hope you are all doing well…..and that you had a nice Mothers’ Day Weekend! I really did! We did something different this year and it was very nice! Jodi and Jim came up on Saturday morning in time to catch part of Isaac’s soccer game. He is really doing so much better with soccer! It is starting to click with him that running right into the middle of the pack of kids is not the best strategy. So, he will think about where the ball will come out and he waits there to get it after it leaves the mass of kids. Plus, he doesn’t want to hurt anyone, so he is pretty careful with the other kids. That will all probably change after he starts football! So, this might be his last year of playing soccer! LOL

Anyways, so then Jodi and Jim came over to our house and joined the chaos that is our house. I bet they thought it was a circus….but that is how we live every day! Anyways, we got the kids a quick bite and I showed her all of my Vera purchases….and then we went to see our Grandma. Well, on our way there we talked to Mom and she said that Grandma wasn’t feeling very good and so we weren’t going to stay very long and we decided to kill some time so we didn’t get there too soon. So, we stopped at some garage sales. Jimmie was navigating while I was driving….it was humorous! While we were doing that and visiting Grandma, Scott and Isaac went to t-ball practice. Then we all met up at Mom and Dad’s house for a cook-out. We had a yummy lunch/dinner and then enjoyed the gorgeous weather! It was a perfect day on Saturday! We played corn-hole and Isaac had a meltdown because he didn’t like the way you keep score in that game. My Dad came very close to switching him…..he was quite a brat. It probably didn’t help that he had like 5 people trying to parent him….but oh well! He just didn’t understand and he would argue with a wall, and he was tired, so not a good combination!

The cutest thing was….Faith Anne put on her “ballerina skirt”. I changed her diaper and she didn’t want to put her pants back on, so I was letting her run around in her diaper (yes, we are red-necks). So, she put on this skirt that is pink toile and you could still see the diaper through it. And then she was playing in the dirt….getting all dirty with her skirt on….it was just so stinking cute! My Dad took a few pictures….I will have to see if they turned out. It was precious. She is such a tom-boy sometimes…but so prissy other times!

Anyways, so we had a great visit with my family on Saturday! It was a very enjoyable day! We got home and I gave the kids baths and then Scott came home from PT Practice and we got them in bed and just relaxed….oh wait, no we didn’t. He had to go to the store and I had to clean the house! But it was still a nice evening!

Sunday Morning….we all got up and Faith Anne and Isaac had been up for a while and they were making me Mother’s Day cards. So, they brought me their cards and Isaac had made me some stuff at school. It was very sweet. Scott bought me a blender (LOL) and the Dream Girls Soundtrack. So, weird gifts. I was actually going to take both back (and I probably will still take the cd back and get something else), but we have used the blender. I will get to that later.

So, we went to church….we go to both services right now. Well, Scott helps lead in Heritage and my parents like to go to that service….and then I didn’t have any commitments this week, so I just went to second service too. That was nice because I hadn’t been to that one in a while, it seems. Anyways…..church was good and then we got home and started cooking out for Scott’s family. His Mom and her boyfriend, Rob came over and his sisters and Brayden. It was fun….except for Rob is a piece of work. He got there and didn’t talk to anyone, didn’t eat a thing, kept to himself and Laura had to basically beg him to come outside when we were all out back. It was very odd. He kept giving Scott dirty looks and just wasn’t pleasant at all. So, we weren’t too upset when they left early. His sisters stayed all day…and that was fun. We just played with the kids and visited. Oh, I did have an incident though. We were playing t-ball and I tried to fake Isaac out…..but instead I fell! Man did it hurt! I fell on my entire right side, but primarily on my arm. It was really hurting yesterday…couldn’t barely lift it up or anything. It is better today, but still really hurts! I got right up because I didn’t want him to think his Mommy is a wimp, but I was in some major pain!

So, the blender. Well, I am not sure why he bought it except for I had made this dessert that my boss bought me in New York (Serendipity’s Frozen Hot Chocolate…YUM) and the consistency wasn’t that great with our old blender. But seriously, we never use it, so what can you expect? Plus, we have a Smoothie machine that we never use! So, when he bought the blender, I thought it was dumb. Well, while his sisters were there on Sunday, he opens it up….again, I was planning on taking it back. We had a margarita mix (minus the alcohol, bummer) and he made that. It was very tart….but good. So, after a short nap, I got up and went to the store and bought us all kinds of things to make smoothies and stuff with. I bought frozen strawberries and pineapple and ice cream and yogurt and syrup and just lots of stuff. So, we made triple chocolate milkshakes on Sunday and then Monday morning I made a banana-berry smoothie….YUM! He had one of those last night. This morning I made a strawberry and chocolate one. So, that is our new toy. I am sure we will get burnt out on it….but it is good right now! It is so much quieter than our old blender and then the smoothie machine. Plus, I am one of those people who doesn’t have any appliances setting out….I put them all away. But this has been left out so far, and since it is already there, it is so easy to just put one together real quick and drink it on the way to work! And it is very filling! So, I guess it was a good gift!

So, back to our crazy week again! Last night was the church softball game (that they lost by one run!!!!) and then Jason and Tera came over for a cookout. Tonight is Isaac’s first t-ball game….tomorrow is church….Thursday is another t-ball game….Friday is t-ball pictures….Saturday is his last soccer game….it is always something!!!! But we are having fun! Gracie and Faith Anne are so good to just keep moving with us and roll with the punches! Speaking of Gracie…she has been sleeping pretty good! She usually wakes up at about 4:00 or so to eat but then goes right back to sleep. Although, she didn’t do that this morning! She is working on getting her top teeth in, so she has been pretty fussy lately. She is definitely having a harder time with her teeth than the other two did.

Well, I better get going….Please keep Jodi in your prayers. I will let her post all the details, but she had a scare with her blood pressure last week and had to go to the ER. So, please pray for her. And for Josy….if you haven’t read her blog, she certainly needs all of us prayer warriors to pray for her. I wish we lived closer….I was thinking this morning about when we all laid hands on Kelley and prayed for her…..there is power in prayer and especially when we all do it together. So, please pray for our great friends!

Love you all!!!

2nd Post Today

My real post is below....but I just thought of something cute that Isaac said yesterday! When I picked him up from school, he told me that he had shared his Mr. Banana Monkey with his girlfriend. I said....his what? And yes, he said his girlfriend. Apparently there is a girl in his PM class that all the boys like because he said she had more than one boyfriend. LOL

Well, last night when we were at Frickers and I was telling Scott and Jason and Tera about it, he got embarrassed and he told me :

"No Mommy! I crushed up on her." I was like, "You What?" and he said it again..."I crushed up on her!"

How cute!!! He meant that he BROKE UP with her!!!! He got the terms "crush" and "broke-up" mixed up!

So cute!!! Kids say the cutest little things!!! Gotta love it!

I LOVE Vera Bradley!!!!

WOW! Can I just tell you that I had a FABULOUS weekend?!? It was so much fun! I can’t wait to do it all again next year!!! Let me tell you about it….

So, Thursday – Joy and I got on the road a little later than I wanted. I was worried about getting stuck in traffic. But, we made it to Fort Wayne in about 2.5 hours – not bad! The directions said it would take longer than that. So, we didn’t hit any traffic at all and we made good time! We found our Bed and Breakfast – The Worthington Mansion! Now, we did get a little lost finding it, but we found it! It was a gorgeous old house in the historical district of Fort Wayne – a beautiful place! We parked and got out and we were greeted by this older lady who talked funny. It actually sounded like maybe she had a stroke or something, but it was odd. Anyways, she was staying there also and so she showed us into the house and showed us up to our room. She introduced us to her daughter (who, oddly enough…also spoke like her mother!). Then we met the owner of the place….Tony. He was clearly gay….and the picture of him and his partner with a drag queen sealed that conclusion! LOL So, anyways….he had wine, cheese and crackers laid out for us, but we were starving! So, we asked him for a dinner recommendation and he sent us to a “hole-in-the-wall” Mexican restaurant. It was decorated very cute…and had these great chairs that were hand-carved with the name of the restaurant on them. It was a great dinner!!! The food was good, the conversation was good….it was just good!

So, we left there and found our way back to the bed and breakfast. We went in and got a glass of wine and headed up to our room. Oh, first we read a newspaper article about the Worthington Mansion and the owners. It was very cool. So, then we went up to our room. Oh, I didn’t tell you about it! Well, the house is a 3-story (with a basement) old mansion. On the lower level, you had the kitchen (which we never saw), a big dining room and a large parlor and the foyer. Up the beautiful stairway to the second floor, there was a TV room, 3 bedrooms and a toilet room and a shower room. Two of the bedrooms had one queen bed in each room….our room had a queen bed and a twin day-bed. Over the day-bed was a beautiful mesh canopy and chandelier. It was a gorgeous room. All of the pillows are monogrammed, the towels are monogrammed and there were robes for each of us that were also monogrammed. It was very nice…..and every little detail was thought of! We also had a huge walk-in closet and a little table and a vanity in our room. Very nice!!! So, anyways….we went to our room and talked a bit and then decided to go to the TV room to visit with the mother/daughter guests. Well, we got there and visited with them for just a minute….we found out that they were in Fort Wayne from Cleveland to research their genealogy. Apparently the Allen County Public Library (in FW), is one of the best places in the country to research. So, they only stayed with us for a minute and then went to bed. So, Joy and I put in a chic-flick (Bridget Jones’ Diary) and sat and laughed and had a great time! Tony, the owner, came and brought us more wine and visited with us for a while. We met his partner and their adorable dog! Oh, I didn’t mention that they live on the 3rd floor of the house! We didn’t go up there, but he said it has 22 foot ceilings and was the attic, so the lines of the ceiling are odd, but it is a big living space. So, anyways…..it was a very nice evening! So, we finally went to bed….it was very quiet in this big old house….more quiet than either of us was used to! I forgot to bring my fan! We finally got to sleep and we both slept GREAT! I got up and got a shower and we got ready. Tony was serving us breakfast at 8:30. So, we got ready in plenty of time and decided to take a walk. The neighborhood we were in was just so beautiful! All of the houses were old mansions and they were all different. So, that was a nice walk! Then we came in for breakfast and it was wonderful! We sat in the dining room at a beautiful spread – fine china and homemade muffins and scones – fresh fruit and a hot casserole of some sort. It was a bit like a French-toast casserole with apples and nutmeg….it was YUMMY. We had a nice visit with Tony and the other two ladies and then we were OFF to shop!!!

OH MY! OH MY! OH MY! We got to the coliseum and walked in to heaven. Just kidding. But it was certainly my happy place! There were thousands and thousands of Vera Bradley purses. We were handed our price-lists and our pink garbage bags and we were off! It was a bit like the day after Thanksgiving – a lot of women and a lot of grabbing. But it was so worth it! Joy and I both just started grabbing stuff. We did that for about an hour or so and then we sat down with all of our stuff and went through it and got rid of what we didn’t really want. I kept calling Kelli and Jodi to ask them questions – and it was so much fun!!! They were closing the show at 12:00 for a lunch break, clean-up and re-pricing and reopening at 1:00. So, we went and got in line to buy our stuff. That was also an experience. There were like 100 cash registers, so the line (kinda like the lines at Kings Island) moved really fast. We both spent a lot of money…..then we went out to the car, got organized…then went back inside and got in a line with about 1,000 other women, to go back in! We went back in and they had marked down the prices even more…..we got what we wanted and then checked out again. Then we headed home.

Let me just tell you some of the deals we got…..purses that normally retail for $80, I bought for $10. Wallets that are normally $20…$5….Make-up Bags that retail for $55 – I paid $5 for. Diaper bags that retail for $90,, we paid $9. Eye glass cases for $2, purses for $5, big bags for $7. It was truly AMAZING! Joy ended up buying like 18 gifts for different people! I got Mother’s Day gifts for both or our mothers…..Christmas gifts, baby gifts, teacher gifts….and of course, some for me! My best buy was this one bag that is normally $92 – I paid $4 for it. All in all, I spent about $400. Now, I will get about $100 of that back for two that I bought for people who are paying me for them….so that isn’t bad! I am really kicking myself for not buying more! It was just so over-whelming! Next year I will be so much more prepared, as far as what to expect and what to look for. But it was such a fun experience and Joy and I really had a good time! We have decided that next year we want to take a total of 7 of us so we can have the whole bed and breakfast to ourselves and have a big slumber party! That would be so much fun!!! It was a great, great time!!!!

So, we were back late Friday afternoon and had the whole weekend to spend with our families. It was a nice weekend. We were busy, but it was nice! Isaac had t-ball practice and then a soccer game on Saturday. Oh, and I had to drop off a gift at a baby shower in there too, then we had a birthday party and then the girls and I came home, but Scott and Isaac went to the Red’s Game. Then on Sunday, we took naps after church (me and the kids) while Scott went to visit the shut-ins. Then when he got home, we put together a gazebo thingy we bought for our back porch. We had to call my Dad to help us at the end – when we were raising the roof. It said it was a 4 person job, but I don’t think that Isaac and Faith Anne count! They tried to help, but they just weren’t tall or strong enough! Anyways, we got that up and then it was time for quick dinner, baths and bed!

Yesterday was a typical Monday at work….blah! Then we had a softball game last night, the church team. It was a good game. They didn’t win, but it was fun and it is really neat to see what an out-reach this has become! There were a lot of guys there that don’t come to church on a regular basis. And there was a big crowd there to cheer them on! We had a good time and then we went to Frickers afterwards with Jason, Tera, Madison and Hunter. Faith Anne’s best friend….they are so cute together, her and Madison. They just hug each other and hold hands and have a good time. Faith Anne was so sad when we had to go our separate ways.

Oh, at the Reds game on Saturday night, we adopted two new members to our family! We now have a Mrs. Brown Bear and a Mr. Banana Monkey in our home. Scott is a SUCKER and let Isaac talk him into the “Build-A-Bear Workshop” because the game was in a rain-delay. So, he made himself a monkey and Faith Anne a bear….they are very adorable. But man, our kids are SO VERY SPOILED!

BTW…I am listening to K-Love at work….Mandisa is on there! Her album must come out today….how cool!

Well, I gotta go! I can’t comment on Dancing with the Stars because I didn’t see it last night. I will have to get caught up later! Love you all and talk to you soon!!!!

P.S. Alicia and Rylan (the baby) are doing good! Alicia has been released from the hospital and Rylan is doing great. He won't get to come home for another 5 weeks or so. But they thought he had fluid on his brain, but he doesn't! And he was completely off the oxygen, but they put him back on a little because he has been eating.....and that makes him struggle with his breathing a little bit. So, GOD IS SO GOOD and this family has seen HIS MIRACLES first-hand! Thanks for your continued prayers for them!

Hello Girlies!

First of all, I need to ask you all to pray for a family at our church. Kerry and Tina’s daughter – Alycia – delivered her baby very early this morning. She was only 31/32 weeks along, but there were toxins in her body that were harmful to her and the baby. So, Rylan (boy) was born this morning. The delivery went very quick and Alycia is doing good. They gave her some medicine to help her sleep. At this point, all I know is that Rylan weighs a bit over 3 pounds and they are testing him there at the same hospital. They have prepared them that they may need to transport him to Miami Valley to the NICU. But they have not done so yet. So, please surround this family in your prayers. Not only do they have the stress of all this to deal with, but Kerry just lost an Uncle and his Grandma has been given a short time to live. In addition, this is a mixed family (divorce/etc.) and there are a lot of other issues as they all come together for the baby. So, please cover them in your prayers.

So! I hope you are all doing well on this fine Thursday morning! I am doing GREAT because I am leaving work early to go to Fort Wayne, Indiana to go to the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale tomorrow! Joy and I are leaving this afternoon and heading over and staying in a bed and breakfast (which I am very excited about!) and then going shopping tomorrow morning! I have never been before, so I hope we find some good deals! But even if we don’t, I am sure we will have fun just getting away for the evening! I am hoping that Cindy will join us, but I don’t think she has committed one way or the other yet. It would be good for her to get away too….but not sure if she will. She is the lady at our church that has a 2 year old girl who is battling Leukemia. Needless to say, a get-away would be great for her! So, that has me in a good mood and very excited this morning!

So, some miscellaneous ramblings! I finally felted my purse!!! Yep, that’s right! I started on this purse LAST YEAR and I actually had it pretty much done within a few weeks of starting it. Well, I finally pulled it out of the closet and finished it and felted it and it is stinking adorable! I will have to post a picture of that (don’t hold your breath) as soon as Joy helps me put the straps on it. I am hoping we can do that tonight or something. But I probably won’t carry it. I will probably hang it up for display in my house. LOL It is very cute, if I do say so myself! I should start another one…..yeah, right. As if I have time! I swear I don’t even sit down and take a breather at night until 9:00! I don’t know what happened, but the last few weeks have been go-go-go!

American Idol…I am so right there with Josy about the loser who sang on there last night. What was that all about? Scott said he is Alan Thicke’s son…which I can totally see the resemblance, but man, he was horrid! I wish I could’ve heard Simon judge him! I was a bit bummed to see Phil go, I would have rather seen Lakisha go….but at this point, I hate to see anyone go. It is going to be interesting to see who wins it!

Dancing with the Stars….Billy Ray needs to GO! He is such a country bumpkin! I LOVE Ian Zehring and would love to see him win it because of his partner….but I kinda think that Apollo or Joey will win. They are both really good! Anyhow, Billy Ray needs to GO! I guess those country fans are loyal and all, but seriously. He stinks.

I guess that is all my tv stuff. I will share a funny story with you. Sorry to those of you who have already heard it. My friend Kelli was driving home with her 6 and 12 year old boys. It was past their bed times, so she was telling them all the things they needed to do when they got home. She originally told them that they would take separate baths, but then re-thought it and told them they didn’t have time for that, so they could just take a shower together when they got home. So, a few minutes passed when her 6 year old says to his brother:

L: So B, when we get home we are going to have sex in the shower. Right?
Kelli: L! What did you just say?
L: B and I are going to have sex in the shower when we get home!
Kelli: L! Where did you hear that?
L: From Barney
Kelli: The big purple dinosaur?
L: NO! Barney on that show that Daddy watches
(The show is How I met your mother…or something like that)
Kelli: L….You cannot say that!
L: What? B and I are just going to have sex in the shower
B: L…we are not gay!

Kelli was dying laughing at this point because OBVIOUSLY the 6 year old had no idea what he was saying…..but it wouldn’t be so funny if he was at school (he goes to private Christian school) and says that to his teacher! Aren’t kids so funny!!!!

Well, I would ask that you please keep me in your prayers. Satan is really attacking me right now on something and I know that it is him….so I am actively fighting him on it and praying about it often. But I would love it if you could keep me and my family in your prayers. I don’t want to go into details, because really that isn’t what is important. Really, it is just that we (mostly me) fight this and recognize that Satan is fighting against the great work that God is doing in my heart. It seems that at the times when our Faith is the greatest, that Satan works his hardest to get in and mess it all up. So, just pray for me…please!

On that note, I best get to work! Thank you for your prayers for Kerry and Tina and their family….and hopefully Angela is doing well and hasn’t had her little boy yet! I haven’t seen or talked to them in ages, so I hope all is going well! It is almost time for their newest addition to arrive!!!

Love and hugs to all….and wish me luck at the Vera Sale!!!!
